Author Subscription Program

Hawk & Oak Publishing’s subscription program is designed for authors who value a long-term publishing partnership, not one-off transactions.

By subscribing, authors gain access to prioritized production support, discounted services, and inclusion under the Hawk & Oak imprint—while retaining full ownership of their work and creative control.

This program exists to support serious authors through multiple projects, providing continuity, trust, and a stable publishing relationship as their careers grow.

What Subscription Provides

Subscription participation does not affect copyright ownership. Authors retain full rights to their work, and no additional rights are granted to Hawk & Oak beyond those explicitly stated in the Publishing Agreement.

Tiered Participation Benefits

Hawk & Oak operates a tiered subscription structure that reflects an author’s ongoing participation and publication history with the imprint.

Tier placement and progression are determined by Hawk & Oak based on publication history, participation, and overall engagement. Tier structures and benefits may evolve over time, with notice provided to participating authors.

Duration & Flexibility

Authors may terminate subscription participation in accordance with the Publishing Agreement, without affecting:

A Relationship-First Model

Hawk & Oak’s subscription program is built on a simple philosophy: publishing works best when trust, continuity, and mutual investment come first.

This model allows Hawk & Oak to prioritize authors who are committed to their craft—and allows authors to build a stable publishing home as their body of work grows.

Why Subscribe?

Publishing is not a single transaction—it’s a relationship.

Hawk & Oak uses a subscription model to prioritize authors who are committed to their work and to the long-term publishing process. This allows us to offer consistent support, discounted services, and reliable production timelines—without compromising creative ownership or rights.

Simply put: the subscription exists to make publishing more human, more sustainable, and more intentional—for both author and publisher.
